Includes IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent, and device identifiers. Mobile-specific data like device type and OS may also be collected. While a chat you started in a business's website chat widget is open on your device, the widget reports that it is open, so the business can tell whether you can still see a reply; it does not report the pages you visit.
If you log in using Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc., we may access public profile information linked to your account.
We use cookies and similar technologies (session and persistent, including browser local storage) for functionality, security, user experience improvements, and to recognise the same browser across visits for the analytics described below.
Inside the Ben AI application we use a product analytics Service Provider — currently PostHog (PostHog, Inc., hosted in the United States) — to understand how the product is used, to detect and fix errors, and to support you. For this purpose we collect Usage Data such as the pages and features you use, clicks and navigation, your browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and application errors, together with the account, name, email address and business you are signed in with.
To understand usage per account, we may also combine this Usage Data with account records held by our other Service Providers, such as the authentication provider and payment processors named in Section 5. These records can include your contact details, sign-in history (including the IP address, location, browser and device of each sign-in), organization membership, and your subscription plan, trial and payment status. They are used only to relate product usage to accounts and plans, not to build profiles for advertising.
We also record session replays — reconstructions of how the application screen changes while you use it. Replays are configured to mask all text and all form inputs before they leave your browser, so the contents of your leads' messages, names and contact details are not included. When Ben AI staff access your account for support purposes, we take steps to exclude that activity from your analytics.
Analytics, error and replay data is used solely to improve the Service and fix problems, and is not sold or used for advertising. Our analytics provider processes it on our behalf under its own privacy policy (currently PostHog). We may change or add analytics providers; any replacement will be bound by the same restrictions and this section will be updated.
Ben AI Inc provides SMS text messaging notifications as part of our Services. By opting in to SMS notifications through your account settings, you consent to receive automated text messages from Ben AI Inc at the phone number you provide.

Payment Processing. We use Paddle and Stripe to process card and online payments. When you make such a purchase, your payment information is collected and processed directly by these providers in accordance with their own privacy policies (Paddle; Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers. For invoiced accounts that pay by check, payment details are handled by us directly and offline.
